Hanging out with Flores, Guatemala!

Even with the reality of my trip, I am still making the best of every moment I have here. It has been very frusturating trying to get the parts for the motorcycles. They were trying to charge $650 for just one part. I decided to buy them from the USA and spend an extra couple of days here and have it be less expensive.The parts for both cycles should be here in the next couple days and that puts me back on the road. My new plan as of now is to get to Colombia and spend Carnival there. When I get to Panama I will ship the bike to L.A and fly or boat to Colombia. From there I will travel by bus and then fly to L.A and ride the bike back to CO work and finish the last leg of the trip after summer. That is the next stage of this trip, I will make the best of Central America and ride South America next November. I have been having a great time here in Guatemala. I have met a lot of great travelers.
I am still sad about the trip and how my luck has been but it seems like everything is still working out ok. I was in Tikal, Guatemala for a little over 2 days. The ruins there are amazing and the park is very huge. It takes about 2 days to fully see all the ruins in the park. Most of the ruins have not even been excavated yet, only about 20% of the ruins are excavated. Tikal ruins are the meka of all ruins in Central America. Anyway I have uploaded all my pictures so you can view them now. The internet has been up and down for uploading the pictures and it has been a little difficult to do anything online but I am making the best of it. Hope all is well with everyone and I will keep everone posted. My Spanish is getting good and I might even take a class for a week, live with a family then continue on from Flores. Flores is a very beautiful place and I explored some caves today which I will upload the pics when I can charge my battery, very cool!
